Butterfly
Dreams
I come to the land of enchantment
where I find you in the emergence of mind.
Marbled skies open up,
but no myth or folklore can capture the
collections of stories we have not yet lived.
In a thatched cottage I leave my
wandering soul to rest,
hoping you will see beyond the dark mural I paint
right to the center of the light
where I hope with you to dwell.
My love for you
resonates in every cell,
and no matter what I do,
I cannot censor the inward transformation
toward butterfly dreams.
A
Call to the Castle
Cloaking mist
thickly surrounds
the cobblestone path
towards a wooded glen.
Through looming shadows
and trees haunted by history,
I find my way to an
abandoned castle on a hill.
Intoxicated by the mystery,
I silently venture
through the overgrown paths
and rocky terrain of forbidden groves.
Pulled in by the voluminous
of this enchanted place
in hideaways dark,
I make my way
into the chambers of
Dracula's den.
Bookcases protected by
dusty cobwebs;
staircases spiraling upwards
like snakes;
creaking floors in the
style of Edgar Allan Poe,
and me, the unwelcome visitor
called here by
some unknown force,
that I still seek in the veil of night.
A
Prayer
I search for the luxury
of relaxation,
a fragrant bath, a healing touch,
and an entrancing essence
to lift my spirits.
Come to me sublime being
of therapeutic realms.
Balance my chakras,
and pour your spices of
aromatic remedy on my soul.
Sooth my madness,
enter my every pore with gladness.
Take away the dross of brokenness,
and replace it with living water.
I am your vessel,
oh Creator, He who is wisdom and knowledge
everlasting.
Fill me with your spirit
and renew the wreath of my heart,
and the aura of my being,
with Heaven's charm
and the
sweetness of sacred angels.
